Dc Williams Slim Skate Shoe Review

dc williams slim shoes

Sizing: The Dc  Williams slim shoes run half size longer. If you are going to order your normal shoe size, then you will have to expect that the shoes will slip off your heel while walking.
I would suggest you to buy these a half size down(especially if you like snug fit), which might feel too snug in the beginning but it becomes great after a day of skating.

Boardfeel/Grip: If i really enjoyed one thing about the dc williams slim shoes, this is definitely the grip and boardfeel despite the fact that these shoes might seem bulkier on the eye.
The dc’s tread pattern on the sole grips very well with the board and also the Unilite midsole helps a lot on the boardfeel with its comfort and flexibility. Always, a flexible sole helps on the boardfeel and the in that shoe, the combination of grip  and boardfeel will blow your mind.

Shape:  As previously said, this shoe although being called ‘slim’, for some might still look bulky. For me, this shoe looks just pretty good having a shape which reminded me of an early 00’s skate shoe and at the same time a shoes that has all these features needed at 2020.

The toe shape is rounded, and i found my flip tricks coming easier. The back part of the shoe seems aesthetically to be higher than the front, but in  reality when you put the shoes on, you feel that your feet are in line.

There is also a very nice arch support on the dc williams slim shoe providing the feeling of security for your ankles.

Durability:  As you can see in the following images, the shoe is pretty durable and besides the fact that you can see the first line of stitching falling apart after a month of skating, the shoe is still skateable, with plenty of skate time left on it. As you can see, there is another layer under the leather, which is not leather but different material which should still save some time for your shoes. If you still want to avoid having the stitching falling apart, you can use some normal super glue and pass it only on the stitching and this should solve the problem.

The outsole also holds up really well, without having any flat spots and still with plenty of skate time on it.

Cushioning: The Dc Williams slim shoe uses a unilite midsole which is Dc’s most advanced product related to cushioning, impact protection and comfort. Be sure that the unilite midsole does the job on that shoe and your feet will stay protected at any time. The insole though is just the classic ortholite insole for some added comfort.

Style:   Definitely a great re-issue from Dc shoes and one of the most(if not the most) stylish shoes in the current line. Aesthetically, one my top in the list and i can say it is a shoe that it makes you feel good wearing it and skating it. Of course, Dc Williams slim is a shoe mostly addressing to all these older skaters who were influenced by the 00’s skate era, but if you are not one of those i would suggest you to try them out!
